  Third example. A customer writes in, in Spanish, asking whether the platform complies with the GDPR when data is held outside the EU. Support Assistant, built from the Customer Service Agent recipe, is the only app the customer deals with, and it consults three in turn: Contract Translator, on what the customer is actually asking; Terms and Policy Q&A, on what the terms say about data held outside the EU; and Publication Checker, on the wording of the reply. Support Assistant then answers in Spanish, quoting the clause. Each app was called directly by Support Assistant, and none of them called any further.

  The customer dealt with one app — and all three it consulted are named alongside the answer.

Do I need any technical skills?

None. Every step is a choice from a short list, described in terms of your work rather than settings. HundredOne chooses the model, writes the instructions and handles retrieval underneath. There is nothing to code, nothing to configure and nothing to install.

What happens to my documents?

Your files are read in your browser, so the original file itself is never uploaded. Only the text your app needs to search is. That text is stored with your workspace, and the passages relevant to a question are sent to the model that answers it. Apps quote the passages they used, so you can check every answer against the source. Sharing an app also shares what it knows, and we say so at the moment you share.

Which AI model is behind this, and can I keep my data off it?

We choose the model for each app, and we change it as better ones appear. That's part of what you're buying, and it's why you never pick one. Answering a question means sending the relevant text to that model provider, so if your material can't leave your network, no hosted plan is the honest answer: the Corporate plan exists for exactly that, with your own model keys and endpoints or an on-premise deployment. How is this different from just using ChatGPT?

A general assistant starts from nothing every time: you re-explain the job, re-attach the files, and re-write the instructions. Here the job becomes an app: it keeps its own instructions, its own documents and its own way of answering, and anyone you share it with gets the same result without knowing how it was set up. Every change is a version you can restore, and you can clone an app to try a variant without disturbing the original.

What can it read?

PDFs, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint decks, and plain text, Markdown, CSV and JSON. Files are read in your browser, so the original never leaves your computer. Only the text your app will actually search is stored. A scanned PDF with no selectable text is refused at upload, with that reason given, rather than accepted and quietly indexed as empty.

What does the free trial include?

Two apps, three days, every app type, no credit card. When the trial ends your apps stay exactly where they are. They stop answering until you pick a plan, and nothing is deleted.

Can it look things up on the web?

Yes, for the app types built around it — the Research Assistant, News Analyzer, Financial Analyzer and Lead Researcher — and as an ability you can switch on for others. The app decides for itself when a question needs a search rather than searching every time, and what comes back is extracts and links, not whole pages scraped in the background. Every answer lists the pages it read, with the publication and the date, so you can open them yourself. It weighs sources rather than treating them alike, and where they disagree it says so.

Can one app use another app I've built?

Yes. When you build an app you can tick which of your existing apps it may consult, and change that later in Tune. It decides for itself, question by question, whether any of them would help — you don't write rules about when. Two things are worth knowing: consulting an app runs it, so it counts as a run, and an app it consults cannot consult further, which keeps a question one hop deep. Every answer shows which app was asked and the exact question put to it. Anyone you share the app with only reaches the apps they could open themselves.

Can I change an app after I've made it?

Yes, that's the point. Every part of an app can be edited afterwards, including an extra instruction to fine-tune results once you've used it, such as 'add citations to every answer'. Every change is a new version, and you can restore an old one. You can also clone an app to try a variant without touching the original.

Can we run this on our own infrastructure?
